Drug addict Danniella Westbrook has revealed she’s suffered a relapse after being dealt a crushing blow about the state of her health.

The former EastEnders star – who earlier this year shared fears she could have cancer – has admitted ‘running off’ and ‘making some bad choices’ over summer.

“Human beings make mistakes. i have a tendency being an addict 2run back 2 what I know in times of struggle&hardship. It’s insane but it’s addiction,” she wrote in a searingly honest tweet.

“I hate it & I hate myself after but tbh it’s a illness that twists ur soul. But it’s 1 I battle and won’t let get the better of me,” she continued.

The former actress, 44, said she spiralled after receiving a worrying update about her health.

“I have had bad news of late about my health and i did what I always do and buried my head for a few weeks in Spain.. made some bad choices because the news has rocked me,” she wrote.

And when one follower shared their own struggle, admitting bipolar disorder, anxiety and depression have forced them to ‘withdraw’ from their friends and family, Danniella admitted, “I do the same.”

Revealing how when things are bad she can, “Stay in the house for days or weeks at a time,” she said she’s learned to “pick up the phone and call friends or Sponsor.”

Dannielle lost her septum after years of cocaine abuse in 2000 and earlier this year told Mirror Online she feared she could have cancer.

“I’ve had quite a lot of problems actually I think I might need to have a hysterectomy because I’ve been bleeding for the last nine weeks constantly,” said the troubled mother-of-two, who suffered a miscarriage in August 2017.

“But they do think it’s hereditary in my family, ovarian cancer and cancer of the womb so we’re hoping it’s not that.

“Because I’m just constantly bleeding, even now I’m still bleeding but that’s to do with age more than anything but the stress doesn’t help.”

That same year she was also diagnosed with septicaemia after botched surgery on her mouth left her with osteoporosis.

She now has no left cheekbone or gums at the top of her mouth.

Mirror Online has contacted Danniella for comment.
